London Marathon Training: Hope to Heartbreak

For four months, I dedicated my life to training for the London Marathon, a 26.2-mile journey of determination and hope. I was running for Cancer Research UK, inspired by the countless lives touched by cancer. The gruelling training regimen tested my limits, but I was driven, wanting to cross the finish line, knowing that every step I took would contribute to a brighter future.

I pushed myself to my longest run just weeks before the big day. The thrill of nearing my goal was intoxicating, but it was short-lived. A knee injury left me in agony and unable to participate in the marathon I’d worked so hard for. The London Marathon may have eluded me, but the battle against cancer continues, and I’m in it for the long run.
